La experiencia en este antiguo palacio en el pintoresco barrio de Dorsoduro, en el centro de Venecia, con vistas al canal San Vio, situado entre el Museo de la Academia y la Peggy Guggenheim "fundación, a poca distancia de la Piazza San Marco y la residencia de Rialto fue Bridge.This construida en el siglo 18 por un rico comerciante veneciano.
En 1925 fue reconstruido por el famoso arquitecto Duilio Torres para convertirse en "Pensione Dinesen" y en 1970 tomó su nombre definitivo "Hotel Americano". From the airport:
The best way to reach our hotel from marco polo airport is to get a private taxiboat directly to our hotel (it takes about 40 minutes and it costs about euro 90,00 for 2 people including luggage during the day) or you may use the "alilaguna" water bus service to zattere boatstation (it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes and it costs euro 12,00 each including luggage); from zattere follow the canal on your right and turn left after having crossed the first bridge on the way and follow the s.vio canal (fondamenta bragadin) for about 100 meters (just 2 minutes walk in total)and you will find our hotel on the right side. Otherwise from the airport you can take a public bus to piazzale roma (the direct one –atvo company- takes about 25 minutes and costs about 4,00 euro including luggage), or taxi car to piazzale roma then follow the directions from piazzale roma
From piazzale roma or railway station:
From piazzale roma ( car parking ) or from s.lucia railway station you can take a private taxi boat directly to our hotel (it takes 15 minutes and it costs about 60,00 euro for 2 people including luggage) or a public waterbus number 1 or 2 to accademia boatstation (it takes about 30 minutes and it costs about euro 6,50 per person), then go left following direction to peggy guggenheim collection for about 100 meters and turn right after the first bridge (just 2 minutes walk in total).
Parking:
We suggest you to park your car at the garage san marco at piazzale roma so at your check out we will give you a discount coupon to grant you a 20% discount on winter time and 10% discount the rest of the year for the parking. From marittima or to marittima
The best way to reach marittima station or our hotel from marittima is to get a private water taxi (about euro 80,00 and 10 min ride). You can find also the public transportation by “alilaguna” from s.marco square to the cruise dock and go back takes about 20 min. And the cost is about euro 6,00.
Usually the cruise companies arrange shuttles from piazzale roma to marittima and go back (please check directly with your cruise company).
